The final, which everyone was waiting for, left a lot of questions
This film occupies a special place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The apogee of all the stories, expected not only by fans, but also by those who fell in love with the studio's films, even without being fans of comics. The "Endgame" was well prepared by all previous projects and completed the whole saga, leaving the audience with mixed feelings.
The wait for the film was long and painful. You bet. At first, we were prepared for the "Infinity War", promising to roll a strong denouement there (it turned out to be only a strong denouement of the film, but not the whole story), then the waiting time for the fourth Avengers dragged on. And in the frame again favorite and excellent actors: Downey Jr., Hemsworth, Ruffalo, Evans, Johannson, Renner. Everyone is gorgeous in their role, we watch the characters with trepidation and anxiety.
The beginning of the film is discouraging. Everything that happened in the last movie is true, people live after losing their dearest. Atmospheric, depressing, on a grand scale. Robert's game is very memorable. He's not an Iron Man anymore. He is the one who fought against injustice all these years, but suffered a crushing defeat and lost a boy who trusted him completely. And this Tony Stark, exhausted and exhausted, is ready to accept his death, resigned to the fact that he will not see his beloved again. The farewell message touches to the depths of your soul, you literally feel the icy space around you and the inevitability of the emptiness of death.
Then Downey's game again. Gorgeous. In a skirmish with Cap, he says a lot of important and right things, plays like the last time. His hero is broken and crushed, and there is only enough strength left to be angry. And this anger, self-confidence, of course, does not allow him to objectively see the existing situation. Cap is also right in his own way. But now there is no difference.
Each character is well spelled out. It perfectly shows how everything changes years after the terrible click. Natasha is broken and has no desire to fight, Thor generally goes on a regular binge, turning into a morally crippled Asgardian, Banner seems to have learned to live in balance with the Hulk (at least someone has spent years usefully), but he feels this paternal fatigue, resembles a grandfather who will not offend anyone. Captain America seeks forgiveness in some meetings that are held for those who need support after the loss of relatives, Hawkeye, and became a vigilante at all, having lost his family. All the scenes are atmospheric, they echo with humor, so that the viewer does not fall into depression.
Then there is a glimmer of light in the face of the Ant, which gives new hope. And the wheel of fortune is spinning with renewed vigor to put a fat end to this seemingly endless story once and for all. Thanos in this story turns from a strategist and a prudent titan with his motivation into an arrogant one and wants to kill everyone. And this, in my opinion, is a strong blunder of the film. The villain has become cardboard and uninteresting.
The film has a lot of interesting moves related to travel, alternate realities, infinity stones. The main characters meet their past, literally face it face to face, getting the opportunity to rethink something, get a parting word from a loved one, say important words that could not be said in a previous life.
A great move is showing some scenes from a different point of view. It was still smartly done in the sequel "Back to the Future", and here it was successfully repeated. It is always interesting to observe what happened in those moments that were, but remained behind the scenes in past films.
The graphics and music are on top, the script has a lot of oddities and even holes that the authors are trying to explain, but after viewing there are still questions. There are a lot of heroes in the picture. I was pleased with the final epic scene, but, in my opinion, it still loses the battles in the "Infinity War".
The meeting with those who have fallen is a bit messy. It is understandable. It was impossible to show the return of so many heroes and their meeting with others. It would make a melodrama out of the movie. They showed all the most important things, what the viewer was waiting for.
The result for me was a great movie that I expected to see. I got what I wanted, what I expected. There is sadness, disappointment from what happened. It was known, predictable, but it's still impossible to prepare for this. The Avengers finale puts a bold dot for viewers in the stories of many characters. There are some unexpected twists here that you don't want to believe in, you have to part with those you don't want to, but that's life. There are no happy endings.
