Wherever I look, I see him everywhere…
The sequel to the Spider-Man movie becomes the next project after the large-scale "Finale", where just a whole mountain of superheroes fought with the armies of Thanos, who decided to eliminate our world. Considering how that movie ended and its scope, I wanted to see something simpler, more entertaining movie. And maybe not just me. "Marvel" seems to anticipate the desires and expectations of its fans, offering a lighter picture about the well-known, probably, friendly neighbor Spider.
However, this project should not be considered completely fun. Behind the seeming entertainment of the film lies a well-thought-out story of the development of a young Peter Parker, who will see the image of his mentor Tony Stark everywhere. The picture is literally saturated with frequent references to Iron Man and his role in the formation of a young superhero.
The current story of Parker and his trip to Europe is sure to please both with an entertaining narrative and make you plunge into a world full of destructive illusions, which, thanks to the villain, will literally break the psychologically young Spider.
The skill of the cinematographers who gave the audience this picture is felt in every frame. They present their story in such a way that all the time they narrate, you literally feel with your skin that something is wrong here. It seems that on the screen the heroes who live their lives get into trouble, and the Spider and his new comrade Mysterio are fighting with the enemies of the Elementals, but the feeling of something unreal does not leave. And in the film, only a hidden twist puts everything in its place, literally returning the realism of the narrative.
I'm trying to say that the director's work, the work of the actors, the script are created so qualitatively that the picture skillfully manipulates the viewer's perception, when you constantly frown and can't understand, this is such a move by the creators of the picture that familiar things look somehow unnatural. However, everything falls into place when the main deception of the film is revealed, and Peter Parker finds himself alone with the true villain away from home.
The film boasts an improved visual component when compared to Tom Holland's first Spider movie. Everything is much stronger here, and the picture is much brighter. The film is exciting. This is an opportunity to see the beautiful cities of Europe, even some places where I once visited myself. Maybe because of this, I liked the picture even more. It's amazing to see a young superhero fighting enemies on the streets of beautiful cities.
There are also some questions about the project. It often seems far-fetched the actions of the head of S.H.I.E.L.D. Nick Fury, who chooses Parker from a huge team of heroes to help. Peter is just a boy. Yes. He has already seen a lot, fought in space with alien invaders, but it still seems that the choice of more adult heroes would be more obvious. But then we wouldn't have this interesting story.
I liked the game of both Holland and Jack Gyllenhaal. The latter masterfully reincarnates on the screen, perfectly conveys the emotions of his character and is one of the decorations of the picture.
"Far from Home" has become a strong film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, presenting vivid images of heroes and villains and showing that Spider-Man is ready to fight enemies, even if he stumbled at first, trusting the wrong one. The picture will show the next stage of Peter Parker's formation, which will certainly be interesting to watch.
