A strong series that attracts from the very beginning I wanted to see Chris Evans in this series from the moment I saw the announcement. The plot of the mini-series was even more intriguing, in which it was said that the son of the main character would be suspected of a terrible murder. The series captures from the first frames and, despite its fluid, at some moments even too slow narration, it is interesting to watch. Excellent production, high—quality picture, good dialogues and the atmosphere of impending suspense - all this will give you a series from director Morten Tildum. Surprisingly, the work does not raise the topics of respect for the black population, sexual minorities and similar things that are quite popular today. Other problems are raised here, which are no less important: the issues of raising children and the possible consequences of problems in families. The series perfectly shows how easily and quickly people's attitude towards those who only fall under suspicion changes. Guilt has not yet been proven, but people are already faced with misunderstanding from others, then they are avoided, well, after that they generally begin to poison. Our society has not yet got rid of prejudice, there is practically no concept of innocence for it until the opposite is proved. Here they perfectly show the eternal problem of the relationship between parents and children. The child believes that he has already grown up and knows everything and everything. Parents, on the contrary, believe that their child is still a small child, and parents necessarily know what will be best for the offspring. And one thing bumps into another, like a scythe on a stone, which generates misunderstanding and conflict. Looking at how the relationships in the family of the main characters are developing, you involuntarily wonder what you would do in a similar situation. And putting yourself in the place of a parent and a child, you realize that the solutions in each case would be different. The cast is great. Everyone is in their place here, each of the characters is charismatic and well-developed. The parents of the murdered child were especially remembered. Their suffering and pain literally bite into the subcortex and remain there until the very end of the series, as if giving themselves up somewhere inside the terrible pain that appeared after the loss of their only child. The main characters, the suspect's parents, win back all 120. The growing nerve is felt with each episode. Events circle the heroes in a whirlpool, overwhelming them more and more with each turn, and necessarily bring them to a boiling point closer to the finale. On the other hand, for some reason Jacob was not enough for me personally. His character seems to have not been given enough time to reveal the guy. Perhaps this was done on purpose to leave some kind of secret over the boy, to let the viewer decide all this time how he himself treats the presented hero. The series is worthy. He makes you believe what is happening on the screen and be sure to empathize. Every plan, every dialogue is not without meaning. All this sets the tone of the story, immerses the viewer in what is happening so that in the finale it will end with an interesting ending. 10 out of 10
