The Challenge (2004) The Inferno
The Inferno is the 8th season of the MTV reality game show, The Challenge. The season is directly subsequent to The Gauntlet.
The Inferno aired in 2004. The season was composed of twenty cast members, and took place in Acapulco, Mexico. In this challenge, the winning teams would receive a prize at the end of each mission. They would then nominate two players from their team to the Inferno elimination challenge. Unlike The Gauntlet, there would be another challenge with an immunity life-saver up for grabs before the Inferno. Each team then selected one of the two nominees from the opposing team to go into the Inferno.
This is the first edition of The Inferno series, with The Inferno II following in 2005 and The Inferno 3 following in 2007.
01 Mission: ""Grope The Rope""- To traverse a wire hanging 17 stories above the ground faster than your opponent on a opposing wire. Mission Winner: Road Rules Guy's Inferno Nominees- Real World: Syrus + Ace Road Rules: Timmy + Jeremy Chosen for The Inferno- Real World: Syrus Road Rules: Jeremy Bank Totals- Real World: $0 Road Rules: $10,000 Piggy from Road Rules Australia was actually chosen for the challenge and actually arrived on the Road Rules boat, she later overdosed on medication and was removed from the cast. She was replaced by Christina from Road Rules South Pacific.

04 Mission: ""Climbing Wall""- To climb a climbing wall that is hanging 50 feet in the air as fast as you can. 06 Mission: ""Balls Out""- To peddle a stationary bike as fast as possible which blows a ping pong ball up a tube and keep it there while the opposite team throws water at you and the tube to knock the ball out. Ultimate Saturn Road Trip 07 Mission: ""Ultimate Saturn Road Trip""- To traverse a net wall and unhook two bags then climb down, get the key out of the bag and drive a Saturn SUV through a curved course the fastest.
