Song Qingwu was forced to marry the eldest Li grandson, Li Yan, by her father who used her ill mother as leverage. Li Yan has a secret lover and hates Song Qingwu, whom he married in order to receive his grandfather's inheritance. One night, Song Qingwu receives an ultimatum—she needs to get pregnant by the end of the month in order for her mother to receive treatment.
