It took the creators almost a decade to tell their story, in which a small team literally lives an office life in a paper sales company. The series leads the narrative in an unusual way. For viewers, this project looks as if a certain company was shooting a kind of documentary about the everyday life of office plankton. Here, employees of the company are constantly interviewed on various occasions, which allows viewers to learn the opinion of a person and better understand the character. At the same time, the bright feature of the series is the frequent glances into the camera of the characters, which in fact is, let's say, interaction with the audience and reminds the latter that these characters really exist in real life, and we (the audience) are watching the development of history through a special documentary series. The solution is very interesting. It allows you to unlock the potential of the cast from many sides. When you look at each character of the series, you see, as if not the actor's game, but the real experiences, thoughts, decisions of a specific real person. And it is sometimes too difficult to get rid of the contradictory feeling that in front of you is actually a work of fiction, and not a documentary. That's probably better. Thanks to this approach, the characters come to life for the audience. The cast is pleased. It is on the play of actors that this project is based. And even if there are main characters and minor characters in the series, each of the characters is very important for building the overall concept of the work. Perhaps in recent seasons, controversial characters have been introduced, which may not have been needed, but the main backbone of the project sets the tone for this picture, allowing you to become akin to the characters for many years of the series' existence. The highlight of the project, of course, is the hero Michael Scott, played by the inimitable Steve Carell. He is also the part-time head of this office. When a viewer gets acquainted with a character, I'm sure at first he doesn't even believe that such a person can be a boss. What's wrong with him?? He is strange (to put it mildly), sometimes monstrously uncultured, and sometimes wild. However, over time, as a spectator, I accept these rules of narration and such a character. You begin to expect something like this from Michael Scott, and after years of the hero's life in the series, Michael will become the link of the entire series, without which the Office would not have become the legendary project that many people love so much today. No less important are the other characters. Jenna Fischer and John Krasinski are good. The two play Pam and Jim, who are not indifferent to each other. It is interesting to observe the development of their relationship, each is interesting and entertaining in his own way. The duo's acting makes this series even more positive. It is impossible not to mention the absolutely extraordinary hero Dwight Schrute, who was perfectly embodied on the screen by Rain Wilson. An absolutely crazy person whose actions will not only be sometimes strange, but often frightening in their absurdity, and then you will laugh at such antics of the character. There are still a lot of heroes in the series, without whom he simply could not do. The characters are mismatched, but sometimes they are typical representatives of office plankton, which is necessarily found in the average office. Throughout the nine years that the Office lived, a variety of star actors appeared in the project. Here you can meet stars of the first magnitude, who perfectly embody both company employees and just third-party heroes. And at such moments, you can well imagine what kind of an office worker this or that star actor or actress would be. The series has a kind of humor. Sometimes it seems stunning, sometimes silly, sometimes simply unacceptable, but at that time a variety of jokes, which are no longer possible today, tested the degree of readiness of society to ridicule various serious things, ranging from racism to gender differences. The series became a hit. He is still loved today. He certainly has his own problems. I will say for myself that the last few seasons have been much weaker than the first. But there are certain reasons for this, which I will not disclose in order not to make spoilers. But "The Office" is without a doubt a strong and authentic project with its own philosophy, a lot of laughter and a good amount of drama. This is a kind of world into which the viewer plunges, becoming a full-fledged member of this motley team, even if watching from the sidelines. Sometimes you think that right now you would pick up the phone and dial the cherished number, and at the other end of the line a cute female voice will pick up the phone and you will hear: "Dunder Mifflin, this is Pam."
