Grégory Levasseur

Grégory Levasseur is a writer , producer , dialogue writer , artistic director and director of second French team , born in 1979 in Douarnenez in Finistère . He often collaborates with his childhood friend Alexandre Aja .

Gregory Levasseur, who is inseparable, often devotes himself to directing and Alexandre Aja to directing since his first short film Over the Rainbow in 1997 , presented in official competition at the Cannes Film Festival and nominated for the Palme d'Or short film , and Award for Best Short Film at Molodist International Film Festival . After their first feature film Furia in 1999, which is a failure, they write Haute Tension, which is very successful at festivals in France and abroad at the Catalonia International Film Festival, where they award the Best Director Award and the Grand Prix of European fantasy film, especially at the Independent Film Festival of Sundance in 2004 which allows them to take the first steps in Hollywood. US producers entrust their remakes like The Hills Have Eyes ( The Hills Have Eyes , 2006) that Wes Craven was conducted in 1977 , Mirrors (2008) and Piranha 3-D (2010). By the way, in 2006 , they give a hand to their Canadian friend Franck Khalfoun to work on the script for 2 e basement ( P2 , 2007).
