A graduate of the Paris 3 Sorbonne Nouvelle University, Alan Durand wrote a dissertation on aesthetic analysis of the televisual device of football matches. He shot the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, in the heart of the crowd and at the foot of giant screens, and in 2017 completed a short film of 24 minutes. Brésil_14 weaves a tangible link between the memories of an enigmatic character, and the collective memory of an entire country.
