The film predictably tries to be taller and more interesting than the last picture. In most cases, it succeeds. The plot focuses on the deteriorating conditions of the hidden existence of mutants around the world. Due to the attack on the head of the American state, which was committed by a mutant, a real threat looms over the shaky world between humans and mutants. The picture will show how the characters already familiar from the first film and a whole scattering of new ones will participate in this conflict, and the scenario moves will make you watch with interest the story that began sometime in the past and is closely connected with the transformation of Logan into that adamantium beast that the viewer already knows him. The acting is good. The characters reveal themselves again with interest. The authors pay enough attention to the characters of the first film. We are waiting for the continuation of the relationship between rivals Charles Xavier and Eric Lansher, who see life on the planet together with people in different ways. You sympathize with both, you understand each of the characters, sometimes you even get lost in which side you would take in this confrontation. Logan is still looking for opportunities to be with Jean Grey, but it seems that everything has been decided here for a long time, because the girl has been in a relationship with Scott Summers for a long time. The love triangle does not leave anyone indifferent, but fades into the background when a mysterious man named William Stryker enters the scene. This is a significant character not only in this film, but also in the entire franchise as a whole, if you know what role he played in the past of some of the characters. He was embodied on the screen by the excellent actor Brian Cox. This is a dangerous and calculating opponent. And do not think that since he is just a human, he will not be able to compete with mutants with their superpowers. The film continues to develop the themes of the first film. Here, the loneliness of each mutant is much more acutely felt, which for various reasons turned out to be alone. Despite everyone's capabilities, it is a heavy burden to be different from everyone else. People seem to feel that such hiding mutants are vulnerable. Humanity is afraid of people who are not like them, and as has long been known, if a person does not understand what he is faced with, he often tries to destroy it. Mutants defend themselves, save themselves, but some are ready to wipe people off the face of the Earth. And this film is also interesting because three forces collide here at once, each of which pursues its own interests: two groups of mutants and people. Professor X, Magneto and Stryker lead these forces and will try to achieve victory in the confrontation. The painting turned out to be beautiful. "X2" is a good fantasy action movie based on comics. It turned out to be dramatic and memorable, bright and large-scale.
