The man who became a Legend
Captain America is one of the most recognizable comic book characters. The name is sonorous, the hero is absolutely correct and positive, a true patriot of his country. And the film about him from Marvel absolutely confirms all of the above.
I would like to note two things at once: the computer cap, while he has not yet become one, and the image of the hero that Chris Evans so successfully succeeded. The first one is very impressive today. Excellent work of graphic specialists. There is not the slightest thought that this is another person and Evans' face is on it. Bravo. Chris himself has an appearance that inspires confidence in a person whom you can easily believe. I can't imagine an actor in some kind of negative role. He perfectly demonstrates that, even if he is a small person, he is ready to defend his beliefs to the end. He says so: "I can do this all day long" or "Yes, I just started" when someone hits him for the umpteenth time. And I want to take an example from him, try to be like a hero. After all, whoever you are, it's important how big your soul and your personal beliefs are.
Receiving his superhuman strength, Rogers comprehends who he has become, what responsibility he has, what he can do and how to use his abilities. Another person might not be able to cope with this, but that's why he was chosen, because he knows the value of strength.
His enemy "Red Skull" is created perfectly. And it was impossible to find a better performer for the role than Hugo Weaving. The charisma of a ruthless leader, ready to do anything for the sake of victory — that's what the actor shows us. He has his own beliefs, he is motivated, and Weaving smartly conveys this energy of the character.
Tommy Lee Jones played Rogers' general and supervisor. He perfectly managed to combine brutality and a certain humor in his image, successfully cracked jokes, joined the team very positively.
Well, where without a love interest for the main character. Peggy Carter is beautiful. She is a person of that era, proves that women are not inferior to men in anything, shows sympathy for Cap.
The scenery, the minutiae to the details, the spirit of the Second World War were conveyed by the director and screenwriters very successfully. Whole images have been created that are not similar to the Nazis — "Hydra". This grouping looks separate from the current regime, carries its own ideas, but at the same time they exist very organically in this world.
"The First Avenger" is an excellent entertaining and dynamic film. At the same time, he raises important human issues. Friendship, love, devotion to the Motherland, upholding one's beliefs at any cost. Each character teaches something, the viewer will see something for himself. A good start for a new hero, whom we will see more than once in the future.
