Batman goes to a new level
Everyone was looking forward to Nolan's project. You bet. The first film set such a bar that Schumacher's early works could not be compared. And when it became known that the Joker would be the main antagonist in the picture, then here the fans just became terribly interested in what would happen.
The film itself breaks all the stereotypes about superhero movies again. "The Dark Knight" is not a comic book in its classical sense. This is a thriller film, which in its intensity does not give a break for a minute.
The cast is brilliant. Each character is revealed, we see everyone's motivation through actions. The Joker performed by Heath Ledger is amazing and insightful. He acts in a way that, in my opinion, greatly overshadows Batman. His actions are aimed at proving that everyone has a dark side.
Harvey Dent, on the contrary, is the bright side of the city, a real fighter, a man. His villain is also experiencing. And the Dark Knight tries not to lose control of the situation.
The actors act as a whole, they complement each other, live life in the film.
As always, the visual component is on top. Special effects, chases, fights — everything is fine. Zimmer's music makes you hold on to the arms of the chair in which you sit waiting for the next turn of the plot.
Timing is absolutely not noticed. Although the film is long, it looks in one breath. And when it ends, it does not let go of the feeling of emptiness. After all, the finale leaves a lot of questions unanswered.
