The cast is an excellent example of a successful meeting on the set of a mountain of muscles and famous names in the world of action movies. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bill Duke, Cardle Weathers, Jesse Ventura, Shane Black. Every hero does not appear to be a mere soldier. All of them are personalities who are well revealed in their allotted screen time. There is a camaraderie here, even friendship between some of the heroes. And you believe them. Especially Duke in his late-night monologue. The alien is also good. He does not reveal himself to us immediately, keeps an intrigue, sells his appearance. Of course, this is a masterstroke of the screenwriters and director. When we see him, we realize that even Arnie's impressive size turns out to be a baby next to this giant. The predator is original, peculiar. He represents his culture, which is revealed as much as possible in the film. This guy has his own code of honor, he is a hunter, loves a good equal fight. The music perfectly complements what is happening in the frame. Alan Silvestri wrote music that matches the mood of the film, is alarming and has a certain military connotation, so to speak. Very successful special effects for its time. They still look good today, they don't hurt your eyes. "Predator" is a kind of beginning of an amazing cinematic universe along with "Alien" and "Strangers". A film about the unequal struggle between a human and an alien, which has its own meaning.
