Based on the world-famous novels by Anne and Serge Golon (a husband and wife team--she did the writing, he the research). The beautiful Angelique is force-married to the noble Joffrey de Peyrac, although she is in love with another noble, Phillipe. However, she gradually falls in love with Joffrey but right then he's accused to be a sorcerer.
