Kuroneko no Me ga Yami ni

When Black Cat is left to fend for himself, he sets off to learn more about the world he lives in. He moves from one cursed household to another, experiencing the evil and torment that afflict the human race.

One of Hino’s early works, Black Cat is a collection of short stories narrated by an ever-observant feline who finds the human race both fascinating and repellent.
