Story takes place in a post apocalyptic world where a pandemic nearly wipes out humanity. The desease is very grotesque, turns the skin into hard surface that easily breaks. With advancement in technology and humanity making a push with AI, the world got back in course. Although the manga was written in the 90s to early 2000s it is more relevant now then when it was written. You see Political figures, organizations and drug cartels constantly fighting to obtain power. Important characters who you would never expect to die end up killed so suddenly. Story constantly keeps you on edge, with sensitive topics involving prostitution, drug addiction, famines, religious fanatism, ethnic cleansing, racism, classism, war etc, all happening at the same time. This is a type of manga you don't enjoy but experience, a science fiction Seinen that's a hidden gem, I'm surprised not many people have read this story. I would have given this Seinen Manga a perfect 10 star score but there is constant sex throughout the story, IMO sex scenes stray away from the plot and kind of turns me off, but that's just me. 7/10 for me , please read this manga.
