Saki comes from a poor family and leads a boring life filled with constant studying. Her problem is that her relationship with her parents is not going well. Her parents don't get along, and Saki is caught in the middle. One day, she happens upon a group of delinquents who pressures her into smoking a cigarette. Somehow, her relationship with them turns out to be more pleasant than expected. Spending time with them makes her feel excited and alive. However, this is only the beginning of her misfortunes.
